Music Has Power…
While words and messages may get lost in translation, melodies and harmonies have the ability to cross national borders and cultural barriers. In fact, we at Harmony For Peace believe that music is a universal language, and that by harnessing its power, we can promote international and intergenerational tolerance and understanding that leads to a reconciliation. We envision a world where all can respect one another for their personal beliefs and culture.
Yet stepping back from an international scale, music has a personal impact as well. Music touches people’s hearts. We believe music education across regions and cultures is an effective way to offer distance from violence and increase opportunities of self-growth and friendship. It is what we call, the gift of music.
