Launch of “Art for Peace 2012” – All join in!

Dear Friends,

Today, I am excited to introduce "Art for Peace 2012".  The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs and the Harmony for Peace Foundation has jointly launched the 2012 Art for Peace Contest.

"Art for Peace 2012" is an international art contest open to young people aged 5-17 across the globe. The announcement of this contest are being made throughout the world - aiming to encourage all young people to enter the contest to use imagination to express their vision for a World Free of Nuclear Weapons.

Through using various media, we are looking to young artists to share their creative talents to imagine a “World Free of Nuclear Weapons.” 

Please talk to young people around you, family and friends, encourage them to learn about the contest and help them participate at www.unartforpeace.org!
