Organizations For Children Through Art
"Make a doll, Travel the World, Connect Children"
Happy Doll is a non-profit organization connecting children all over the world using dolls made for children, by children to travel as ambassadors with messages of hope. Each doll is uniquely created by child with a simple message: to make children in challenging circumstances smile. These “happy dolls” have traveled all over the world sending hope and comfort wherever it is needed. Children can decorate and track their dolls to see the impact they are making in another child’s life. For more information please visit their website.
Small Art School in Cambodia
The Small Art School (SAS) is a self-financed art school, founded by a Japanese art teacher, Tomoko Kasahara, that provides free art education to Cambodian children, especially those who do not have the opportunities to learn. Most recently in May 2013, the Khmer Kids Art Gallery was created to display artwork from six to eight organizations the Small Art School supports and to show life through the eyes of children.
